Happy New Year

Well 2013 is almost over, 4 more sleeps and we will have a brand new year,12 new months to fill with our dreams, wishes and things to do.  One of my goals is to publish another book.  This time with a traditional publisher.  I have sent a manuscript to a publisher but as yet have not heard anything.  Maybe that is my answer to do they want it. I had forgot to mark it down so I'm not sure which publisher I sent it to and which manuscript I sent.  Not very bright I would say.
I wish all of you who visit my blog a very happy New Year and do what you want this coming year.  Reach for at least one of your goals and be proud of yourself for your accomplishment whether you have reached it or not.

Christmas Wishes

In a few days it will be Christmas, did your Christmas wish come true?  There is still time for the wish to come true, if you make the wish. Then a week later a whole New Year arrives.
Did I, you achieve what I, you wanted in the 12 past months?  I did at least publish one of my manuscripts.  Yes it was what is called self publishing, but it was the publisher who did the work.  I paid her to do the work.  I still believe that traditional publishing is the way to go and my next book with be traditional.  
In the next week after we stuff ourselves with all the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, ham, gravy and what ever else is in your Christmas dinner, take time to consider the next 12 months and know that believing in the Christ within you can do anything you, I put my, your mind to.  It is not I but the Christ within that does the work, what ever it is.  I am worthy and willing to allow the Christ within to lead me to my greatness in 2014.  What about you? 

Kanata's Christmas Cottage

No one came to the Christmas Cottage at Kanata Hall yesterday and said they saw this e-mail  and that is why they came so no one got a free copy of The Wild Ones.  Well one lady did as she won the door prize which was a free signed copy of  The Wild Ones.
It was cold in the hall as we had the door open but it was a good day and everyone who came had a good time.  Hope the Americans who read this have a happy Thanksgiving this week.  I have had 4 good book signing and one more to come next week Dec 4 at the square dancing at Burnaby Lake Rowing Club.  If you are interested in square dancing, new dancers start the first Wednesday in January 2014.  Wow it is already about 2014, we just came into the new millennium a few years ago or was that 14 years ago.  As some one told me a few times the older you get the faster time goes like water going down a drain, the closer it gets to the drain it goes faster.  So true.    

A surprising thing happened to me yesterday.  Two weeks ago I wore a pair of horse shoe earrings my grandsons sent me in a box of 7 sets.  When I went to take the earrings off at night there was only one.  I felt bad as I had lost one, I was going to wear them when I had a book signing. Well yesterday a day before my second book signing and after doing dishes for two weeks I saw a wire in the drain and pulled it out. It was my horse shoe ear ring, the day before my second book singing.  An omen or what?  

Thank you boys I love you and I will wear these when I have a book signing.  I am so glad I have you.

 I had a bad dream last night about my book signing Sunday 17 at Unity In Action at 17 and Edinburgh in New West.  I dreamed I was at church but had forgotten my books for the signing. What to do now so I decide I had to go home to get them then come back.    As I was leaving I saw two guys sitting in a lounge area which Unity In Action doesn't have.  Anyway I know I will have my books with me and am going to have a wonderful time and hope the people who buy the book will enjoy it.  
I am also having a signing at Kanata Co-op Christmas Bazaar Nov 24 at 7155 Blake Street in Vancouver for those who don't want to come to church Sunday.  There will also be other people at the Bazaar selling their product, from Mary Kay, Avon,  a lady selling candles, other books  plus many more.  There will be door prizes as will and those who tell me they saw my blog will get an extra door prize ticket.

Yee Haa, my babies are born today, all 25 of them.  My books arrived yesterday but I didn't have the money needed for the birth, COD for customs, hehe. The mail man promised to bring the box of The Wild Ones books back today and I had the cash ready and waiting for the birthing.  I took the first 6 books out for the gifts I promised family. The rest are going to the church Sunday.
A reminder that I'm launching The Wild Ones at Unity In Action Church on the corner of Edinburgh and 17 Street.  Church service starts at 11 AM.

Now I'm waiting for another baby, hehe, I just ordered another set of books that will come in about the middle of November.  Now I should have enough for my book signing and to give the ones away that I have already said I would give  away.  I wrote this The Wild Ones for myself but if more people like it great and I hope they do enjoy it.
I am enjoying my Wednesday night square dancing at the Burnaby Lake rowing club.  A friend and I started the first Wednesday in Sept. and we are both enjoying it.
I know this has nothing to do with The Wild Ones but it is jusdt a blog to let you know what I am doing. besides waiting.  Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.  Great even if it does cause fog but when the fog is burned off it is bright and sunny.

The Wild Ones

Oh this waiting is hard.  I know my books are on the road but I have another 10 to15 days to wait for the real thing.  Yes I've had the proof book in my hands and read it through and made corrections but now the real thing is about to happen.  Then I will see on the 3 and 17 and 20 just how it is liked and then I will let out the link to the amazon page where others who don't come to the signing can get a copy.  The weekend of the 3 of November I will open the page  on Amazon.  I have put the link on facebook but even I can't find it now. Oh well that is okay and it will be out soon

Tuesday Oct 8, where has the year gone?
In another month I will have had one of my book signings and will know how The Wild Ones is liked.  Right now I am just sitting on pins and needles waiting.  Waiting, waiting, that is the hardest thing to do when you want something so bad.  I can't think of any of the other writings I've got going.
I'm sure Martin Hughes is just grinding his teeth waiting for me to come back and let him tell me where he wants his story to go. I started his story from a prompt and then he took it over.  Now we are in the middle of it and I'm not sure where we are taking it but I'm sure he will tell me soon.  I know he deserves as much attention as The Wild Ones.  Okay I will spend some time with him this week.  I promise I will open his manuscript by Thursday.  Okay?

Waiting is hard.  Someone said that waiting for a book to come out is like waiting for a baby.  Oh how right they are.  I've edited my proof book now am waiting for the publication of the Wild Ones to be ready to purchase.  I have about 5 I am giving to my important people.  Two are my grandsons and the nephew who gave me the money to purchase my copies.  Love you all.

Wow, my first book is in the process of being readied for the market.  The Wild Ones will be out by the middle of October, ready for a great Christmas gift to anyone who likes horses.  The Wild Ones is about training a band of wild horses with out their knowledge of being trained.  How can this be done?
